The 5th Floor, a curatorial space in Nezu, Tokyo, is pleased to announce the winner for the 1st residency program with an exhibition to support the activities of young curators.

Entry Requirements|Any nationality, gender, age, individual or group. There are no restrictions.

Criteria for selection|

・Must be able to conduct independent research and create an exhibition through the residency.

・Only exhibitions that have not been held in the past will be accepted.

・You must be able to accept the management policy for preventing the spread of the new coronavirus.

 How to Apply|

・Please fill out the form below and upload your portfolio, biography, production and research plans, and other materials. The file format should be PDF (A4 size) and should be sent in a single file. Any format is acceptable.

・All applicants will be notified of the screening results by e-mail.

Privileges for adopters|

The following support will be provided to the selected curator(s) 

-Use of HB.Nezu as a residence for about 2 weeks

-Use of The 5th Floor as an exhibition space for approximately one month

-Travel expenses from your address to the residence facility 

-Assistance by staff in installation and load out.

*Please note that we do not plan to provide any financial support for production. 

Announcement of judging|Successful applicants will be contacted by e-mail regarding future procedures and flow.

Handling of submitted plans|

・The submitted materials will not be returned.
・The submitted materials will be used only for the screening of this competition and will be disposed of after the exhibition.
